The terms "we", "us", and "Flindies" refer to SudhaTechLabs Pty Ltd incorporated in Melbourne, Australia.
What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to end users and marketing. We may use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.
You understand, acknowledge and agree that:
- as a part of use of our FLINDIES Service, the information and content published by you on our platform are intended for public consumption.
- FLINDIES' aim is to connect businesses registered on our platform with the end user.
- we rely on third-party service providers (Related Companies) to support or provide services for us in connection with your use of the Service, such as communications and hosting, security and fraud prevention, technical and customer support, tracking and reporting usage of the Service, quality assurance testing, payment processing, marketing and other functions. We share information from or about you with these third party providers so that they can perform their services or complete your requests.
- Flindies shares personal information with its service providers subject to obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy, and on the condition that personal information is only used on Flindies' behalf and pursuant to our instructions. You may be able to limit our access to some of this information through your mobile device settings. Flindies third party service providers may likewise share information with us that they obtain from or about you in connection with providing their services or completing your requests.
We collect information you give us which includes:
- When you register for an account information such as your name, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses or user ID (where applicable) when you register for an account with us.
- When we verify you or your account we may collect and process information (as permitted by law) to authenticate you or your account, or to verify the information that you provided to us.
- When you transact on or use our Services such as when you post an event, communicate with us or other users, information you provide for the Services that you use or during a transaction or other transaction-based content. We may also collect your financial information (such as credit card or bank account numbres) when you buy a feature from us or are required to pay a subscription to us.
- When you interact with your account such as updating or adding information to your account, adding items to alerts lists and saving searches.
- When you contact us such as through a web form, chat or dispute resolution or when we otherwise communicate with each other. We may record our calls with you (with prior consent).
We collect information automatically which includes:
- Information from the devices you use when interacting with us or Servcies such as device ID or unique user ID, device type, ID for advertising and unique device token.
- Information about your location as geo-location in Google Maps if you consent to publishing your business address when you create a listing. If a user does not want their location details to be shown in their respective listings, they have to make the changes in the account settings.
- Computer and connection information such as statistics on your page views, traffic to and from the sites, referral URL, ad data, your IP address, your browsing history and your web log information.
We collect information from third parties which includes:
- Information that is available in public domain, additional contact information, credit check information and information from credit bureaus, as allowed by applicable national laws.
- We may use your personal information that we have collected from our Related Companies in order to manage your account, run internal analytics and develop business strategies.
- Information from social media sites when you use those sites to register, share information or connect to your account. These sites may automatically give us access to personal information they hold about you based on your privacy settings and permissions on those sites. When you grant us access to information held by social media sites you agree that we may collect, use and retain it in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
We use your information to provide, improve and personalise our Services which includes:
- Providing you access to and use of our Services as well as acces to your profile settings, and other features.
- Customise, measure and improve our Services and those of our Related Companies.
- Provide you with location-based services (local search for end user).
- To contact you about your account.
- We may contact you via email, telephone, SMS messages or postal mail.
- To give you customer support about your account such as troubleshooting problems, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed to use etc.
- Contact you, either via email, telephone, SMS text messages or postal mail to offer you discounts and special promotions and to let you know about our Services.
- Deliver targeted marketing, service updates and promotional offers, including in relation to our Related Companies.
- We may use your personal informatino for legal compliance reasons, including to:
- Prevent, detect, mitigate and investigate fraud, security breaches, potentially prohibited or illegal activities.
- Enforce our Privacy Notice, our Terms of Use or other policies.
We are responsible for the collection, use, disclosure, retention and protection fof your personal information under our privacy standards and applicable national laws subject tothe following:
- Flindies may disclose your personal information or transfer data to Related Companies who may proces and keep your personal information on servers in the European Union, United States and elsewhere in the world where their data centres are located. We will be constrained by the policies by Related Companies in the event your information is disclosed to third parties that are located overseas, or where your information is held in our overseas servers.
- We use various safeguards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and after we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
You understand, acknowledge and agree that we store and retain your information to include the following:
- Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.
- We store information about your use of the Service, such as your search activity, the pages you view, the date and time of your visits, businesses you call using our mobile applications, and any transactions you make through our Service.
- We may store information that your computer or mobile device may provide to us in connection with your use of the Service, such as your browser type, type of computer or mobile device, browser language, IP address, WiFi information such as SSID, mobile carrier, phone number, unique device identifier, advertising identifier, location (including geolocation, beacon based location, and GPS location), and requested and referring URLs and mobile applications.
- We may also receive and store your location whenever our application is running, including when running in the background, if you enable our apps to access such information in the course of using the Service. You may be able to limit or disallow our use of certain data through your device or browser settings, by adjusting the settings for our applications in iOS or Android privacy settings.
- If your account is active, we may keep your personal information as required for our operations. We may also keep personal information (name and contact details) from closed accounts to comply with national laws, stop fraud, collect fees owed, assist with any investigation, enforce ourĀ Terms of UseĀ and take other actions under applicable national laws. If we no longer need your personal information, we securely dispose it of.
- When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.
